Advertising Campaign
For my Communication Design I class, we needed to create an advertising campaign for a non-profit organization of our choice. We had to choose five of these options to create our campaign with: a one-color ad, four-color ad, postcard, poster, outdoor billboard or some other form of outdoor advertising, or a specialty item or guerrilla ad.
For my project, I chose to advertise the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's "Clean the Bay Day" event. For this campaign, I designed a one-color ad, four-color ad, poster, outdoor billboard, and a guerrilla ad.
When researching the Clean the Bay Day event for my project, on the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's website, they talked about how during previous events, they found unique items such as a car door, cash register and a recliner. I chose to utilize that information for my ad campaign. Each ad features a real, "bizarre" item that was found at previous Clean the Bay Day events.
The ads are intended to be encouraging, essentially saying "if you participate in our event, you can find something as cool as this too!"
The communication goal of this project was to create a multi-ad campaign with several different types of ads that still connected to each other through a common theme. The intended audience would be anyone who wants to help keep the Chesapeake Bay clean.
